Meet The Crew
Capt. Jim Cook Owner and Director of Instruction Corpus Christi
Our founder and instructor Captain James Cook has been helping mariners get their licenses since 2008. Captain Cook is a professional instructor and has been developing and teaching college level classes in mathematics and computer science since 1986.

Captain Russell Trischan Director of Instruction Houston and Lead Instructor Houston
Russell has been teaching for 3rd Coast Captains since 2014. He has a lifelong passion with the water, He currently holds a 100 Ton Masters Credential.
Capt. Marc Edelman Director of Marketing and Class Instructor
Captain Marc has been on the water since the age of 11. Starting at River Rats Sailing club he learned to sail Blue Jay Sloops. Then at age 12 he started sailing lasers, Force Fives, and Rhodes 19's until the age of 18. At age 18, Captain Marc moved to the Gulf of Mexico where he sailed his Ericson 27 offshore and his Boston Whaler Montauk in Galveston Bay and Offshore Galveston. Captain Marc currently holds a 25 ton Masters Near Coastal Credential. You can find Captain Marc somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico during the summer months.
